EXECUTIVE BOARD PRESIDENT

Joe Kaufmann served as President and CEO of Kensey Nash Corporation from the company’s IPO in 1995 until the sale of the Company in 2012. He also served as CFO during the company’s start up phase from 1989 through 1995. Prior to his 23 years at Kensey Nash, Joe held senior financial positions in the dental, lighting and electrical industries. He is a 1975 graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Essential Medical Corporation, a medical device startup located in Malvern, Pa. Joe is also a member of the Board of Directors of Lisa’s Army, a charity devoted to helping ovarian cancer patients and Joe and his wife Jaimee are deeply involved with supporting Safe Harbor, a homeless shelter in West Chester, PA dedicated to helping those less fortunate.

EXECUTIVE BOARD SECRETARY

Laura Rauth is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Nursing at Drexel University and Temple University as well as Faculty for NCLEX Review for Kaplan Test Prep. She is a 1987 graduate of Carlow College in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her MSN in the Pediatric Clinical Specialist program from Yale University in 1994. Prior to her current faculty positions, Laura has held positions as adjunct professor in Nursing at West Chester University (2010-2013) and staff and management positions at Yale New Haven Hospital Newborn Special Care Unit, Additionally, she has 13 years of experience in home health care, first in director positions in Pediatric Healthcare and Healthcare Services for Interim Healthcare of Central Pennsylvania, then as Clinical Manager for Bayada Nurses in Lancaster, PA. Laura additionally volunteers for Family Lives On, a foundation aimed at providing grieving children with opportunities for intentional remembering of lost parents and creating a safe haven for grief, communication, and celebration.

EXECUTIVE BOARD TREASURER

Regina Evans is a wife as well as a mother of three beautiful children. Prior to her current full-time homemaker position, she acquired professional experience as a pediatric nurse, first in the area of Neonatal Intensive Care at Yale New Haven Hospital (CT) and Bryn Mawr (PA) hospitals. Subsequently, as a Master’s prepared nurse, she worked as a Neurology Advanced Practice Nurse at the Nemours/Alfred I DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. She has held several volunteer community positions through her children’s schools and extra-curricular activities. As the mother of Cameron, the youngest of her children, the 14 year old for whom this organization is named, she experienced firsthand the devastation and heartbreak that cancer can have on a child and his family.
